TC 01.3 – Shell Tube Heat Exchanger

The shell and tube heat exchanger is one of the most widely used models in the industry due to its efficiency and versatility.

Description

In this design, the cold fluid flows through a bundle of parallel tubes, while the hot fluid circulates through the outer shell that surrounds them, enabling heat transfer between the two media.

Key advantages of this type of heat exchanger include its compact design and its ability to operate at higher pressures compared to other configurations.

This unit supports both co-current and counter-current flow arrangements.
